Analysis of advanced treatment process for high-concentration spray paint wastewater

Abstract:The spray paint wastewater from a heavy equipment manufacturing enterprise is confronted with problems of complex composition,high polution load(with a chemical oxygen demand(COD) concentration of approximately (204 86,600mg/L ) and significant fluctuations in water quality and quantity.A combined treatment process was designed in this study:first,pretreatment is performed through coagulation and presure fitration,where demulsifiers and other agents are used to achieve solid-liquid separation;subsequently,the filtrate undergoes advanced purification via low-temperature evaporation under negative pressure at 35 -40 C ; finally,ceramic membrane filtration(retaining particles larger than 5O nanometers)and activated carbon adsorption are adopted to remove residual COD and odors.This process boasts reliable operation and low energy consumption.The COD and ammonia nitrogen contents in the treated effluentare lower than 13 mg/Land1.34 mg/Lrespectively,which meets the requirements of the national standards GB 8978—1996 and GB/T 19923—2005.
