Determination of 1，6-hexanediamine content in caulk by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry

Abstract：An analytical method for the determination of 1，6 -hexanediamine content in caulks for indoor decoration and renovation was established by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry（GC-MS）.The caulk samples were derivatizedinawaterbathat 40∘C for 30 min under alkaline conditions，followed by detection via GC-MS.Separation was performed on a TG-5 SILMS chromatographic column，ionization was caried out with an electron impact ion source，and quantification was achieved by the external standard method.The results showed that 1，6 -hexanediamine exhibited a good linear relationship in the concentration range of 12～300mg/L with the correlation coefficient （ R2 ） greater than O.999 O.The recovery rate was in the range of 91.60%～107.17% ，the relative standard deviation（RSD）was 2.87% ，the limit of detection（LOD） of the method was 12mg/kg ，and the limit of quantification （LOQ） was 41mg/kg
