Study on precise control of EH oil hydrolysis parameters based on linear voltammetry

Abstract:Aiming at the hydrolysis degradation problem of phosphate ester fire-resistant oil(EHoil)in power systems,a method for accurately evaluating the hydrolysis degree based on the characteristic peak area of phenols and alcohols via linear voltammetrywas proposed.Theanalytical method was optimized,and laboratoryand fieldsample studies were completed.The results showed that the peak area of phenols and alcohols was significantly positively correlated with traditional indicators such as acid value and moisture content ( R2>0.92 ,which could be used as a characteristic parameter for hydrolysis.Based on the early warning grade established by this parameter,the failure rate of the EH oil system in power plant applications was reduced by 27% ,providing a new approach for the lubrication operation and maintenance of power equipment.
