Effect of“Motivational Stimulation” Education Combined with Psychological Counseling on Negative Emotions and Sleep Quality in Patients Undergoing Refractive Surgery

AbstractObjective：Toexploretheefectof“motivational stimulation”healtheducationcombinedwithpsychologicalcounselingonnegativeemotionsandslepqualityinpatientsundergoingrefractivesurgery.Methods：Atotalof94 patients whounderwentrefractivesurgeryat theFirstHospitalof Zhangzhou China MerchantsEconomicand TechnologicalDevelopmentZoe from October 2022 to October 2O24 were selectedandrandomly dividedintoacontrol groupandanobservation group，with47patients ineach group.Thecontrol groupreceivedroutinenursingcare，whiletheobservation groupreceived“motivational stimulation” healtheducationcombinedwithpsychologicalcounselingonthebasisofroutinenursing.The Pitsburgh SleepQuality Index （PSQI）was usedtoevaluateslepqualitybefore andafter intervention.The Self-Rating Anxiety Scale（SAS）andSelf-Rating Depresion Scale（SDS）were applied to assess anxietyand depressionsymptoms.The Medical Outcomes Study36-Item ShortForm Health Srvey（SF-36）wasusedtocomparechangesinqualityoflifebeforeandafterintervention，andaderencerateswerecomparedbetwenthetwogroups.Results：Afterintervention，PSQI，SAS，ndSDSsoresintheobservationgroupweresignificantly lowerthan those in the control group，and the differences between the two groups were statistically significant（ P<0.05 ）. The adherencerateandalldimensionsof the SF-36scoreintheobservationgroup weresignificantlyhigherthanthoseinthecontrol group（ P<0.05. ）. Conclusion：“Motivational stimulation”health education combined with psychological counseling can effectivelyalleviatenegativeemotionsandimprovesleepqualityinpatients undergoingrefractivesurgery.Italsoenhances treatmentadherence and quality of life，demonstrating clear clinical value.
