Effects of Group Painting Art Combined with Biofeedback Therapy on Social Function and Sleep Quality in Patients With Schizophrenia

AbstractObjective：To investigatetheefectsofcombininggrouppaintingartwithbiofeedback therapyonsocialfunctionand sleepqualityinpatients withschizophrenia（SCH）.Methods：Atotalof1O5patientswith SCHattheSpecialistMental Health Center ofBaoshanDistrict，Shanghai，from March 2022 to March 2O25were selectedTheparticipants wererandomlydivided into a control groupandanobservation group using the simplifiedrandom grouping（random number table method），with 52casesand 53casesrespectively.Both groupsreceivedroutinenursing care andbiofeedback therapy intervention，whiletheobservationgroup receivedgrouppaintingartinterventiononthisbasis.Theimprovementofclinicalsymptoms，tedegreeofmentalilssstigma [Stigma ScaleforMental Inss（SM）]，socialfunctionimpairmentScialSkillsChecklist（SSC）]，tediferenesisleep quality[Pitsburgh SlepQualityIndex（PSQI）]andthediferencesinqualityoflife[SchizophreniaQualityofLifeScale （SQLS）]afterintervention werecomparedbetweenthetwogroups.Results：After12 weeksof intervention，scoresforPositive and Negative Syndrome Scale，SSMI，SSC，PSQI，and SQLS decreased inboth groups，with theobservation group showing lower scores than the control group.The diferences between the two groups were statistically significant（ P<0.05 ）. Conclusion： The combinationof grouppaintingartandbiofeeback therapycanefectivelyallviateclinicalsymptomsandmentalilless stigmain patientswithshzophenia.Itisneficialforimprovingsocialfunctio，slepalityandoverallqualityoflifeintsepatits.
