ImpactofNarrative Nursing Combined with Holistic Nursing on Mental State and Sleep Quality in Patients with Dementia

AbstractObjective：This studyaimstoanalyze the impactof narrtive nursing combined with holisticnursingonthe mental stateandsleepqualityof patientswithdementia.Methods：Atotalof 6OpatientswithdementiaadmitedtoTheFirstffiliated Hospitalof Xiamen UniversityfromJuly2O23to January2O25wereselectedastheresearchsubjectsanddivided intoacontrol groupand anobservation groupaccording toarandomnumbertable method，with 3O patients ineach group.The Pitsburgh Sleep QualityIndex（PSQI）wasusedtocompare thechanges insleepqualitybeforeandafter intervention.TheMini-Mental StateExamination（MMSE）wasused to compare the improvement effctsof mental stateunder diferent nursing modes in the wo groups.Results：Before nursing，there werenosignificantdiferences inMMSE scoresof mental statebetweenthetwo groups（ P> 0.05）.After nursing，the MMSEscoresof mentaltateintheobservation groupwere significantlyhigherthanthoseinthecontrol group （ P<0.05， ）.Before nursing，there were no significant diferences in PSQI scores of sleep quality between the two groups （ P>0.05 ）.After nursing，the PSQI scores in theobservation group were significantly lower than those in thecontrol group，and the differences between the two groups were statistically significant（ P<0.05 ）. Conclusion：The implementation of narrative nursingcombined withholisticnursinginpatients withdementiahassignificantefects，notonlyiproving mental statebutalsoehancing sleep quality，which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
