The Impact of Intervention Based on Knowledge-Attitude-Practice Theory on Cognitive Function and Sleep Quality in Children with Epilepsy

AbstractObjective：Toevaluate the therapeuticimpactandaplicationvalueof Knowledge-Atitude-Practice（KAP）model nursinginpediatricepilepsymanagement.Methods：Atotalof6OchildrenwithepilepsyadmitedtothePediatricsDepartmentf Zhongshan HospitalAfiliatedto Xiamen UniversitybetwenJanuary2O21andDecember2024wereselectedandrandomlydivided into a control group and an observation group（ n=30 each）. The control group received conventional pediatric care，while the observationgroupreceivedtailoredinterventions guidedbyKAPframeworkalongsideroutinenursing.Comparativemetricsicluded pre-/post-ntevetionorsosleepualitysales，ognitivfuctiossessmnts，octualsleepdurationwakegfre quency，depsleepproportiontreatmentcompliancerates，ursing-relateddverseeventsandparentalsatisfaction.Resultster intervention，theobservationgroupdemonstratedsignificantlygreaterimprovementsinslepqualityandcognitivefunctioncompared to the control group（ P<0.05 ）. Specifically，the observation group exhibited extended continuous nighttme sleep，reduced awakenings，and increased deep sleep proportion（all P<0.05 ）. Lower adverse event incidence（ P<0.05 ），enhanced treatment compliance （ P<0.05 ），and significantly elevated parental satisfaction （ P<0.05 ）were observed in the observation group.Conclusion：KAPnursingsynergisticallnhancescognitiveabiliesandsleeparchitecture inpediatricepilepsypatients， bolsters treatmentcompliane，igateslinicalsksandcheveshigherparentalrecogitiontrebydingpromiseforlinical practice.
