Observationon the Effects of Binaural Beat Music Training in Improving Insomnia in Post-stroke Patients

AbstractObjective:Thisarticleaims toexploretheefectsof binaural beatmusictrainingon improvingpsychological status andsleepqualityinpost-strokeinsomniapatients.Methods:Atotalof1Opost-strokeinsomniapatientsadmitedtotheDepartment of Neurology at Guangdong Sanjiu Brain Hospital from January 2O23 to December 2O24 were selectedasthestudysubjects andrandomlydivided intoacontrol groupandanobservation group(5Ocaseseach).Thecontrol groupreceivedconventionalinterventions,whiletheobservationgroupunderwentbinauralbeatmusictrainingbesidesconventionalinterventions.The Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA)and Hamilton Depresion Rating Scale(HAMD)were used to compare the improvements inanxietyand depressionstatusbetweenthetwo groups beforeandaftertheintervention.ThePitsburgh SlepQualityIndex(PSQI)wasused to assesschanges insleepqualitySleepparameters,ncudingsleeplatency,sleepfiency,andwake-upfrequency,wered using sleep monitoring devices.Results:After one month of intervention,the HAMA scores,HAMD scores,and PSQIscoresof both groups decreased,with the observation group showing significantly lower values than the control group( P<0.05) . After one monthof intervention,theobservationgroupexhibitedsignificantlyreductioninsleeplatencyandwake-upfrequencycomparedto pre-intervention levels,while sleep eficiency significantly improved.Thesediffrenceswere statisticallsignificant( P<0.05 ).
Conclusion:Binaural beat music trainingcan efectivelyallviate anxietyanddepresion inpost-strokeisomnia patients and improve sleep quality,making it worthy of clinical application and promotion.
