Clinical Efficacy of the Levonorgestrel-releasing Intrauterine System in the Treatment of Adenomyosis and Its Effect on Sleep Quality

AbstractObjective：Toinvestigatetheclinicaleficacyofthelevonorgestrel-releasing intrauterinesystem（LNG-US）inthe treatmentofpatients withadenomyosisanditsefectonslepquality.Methods：Atotalof8patients withadenomyosiswho were treatedatFujianFuneng GroupGeneral Hospital from March2O21to December2O23wereselectedasstudyparticipantsandrandomlydivided intoacontrolgroupandanobservation group，with43cases in each group.Thecontrol groupwas treated withoral dydrogesteron，whiletheobservationgroupreceivedthelevonorgestrel-releasingintrauterinesystem（Mirena）.ThePisburgh SleepQuality Index（PSQI）wasused tocompare slepquality betwen thetwo groups.Painperception beforeandafter interventionwasassessdusingtheVisualAnalogue Scale（VAS）.Recoveryindicators，includingendometrialthicknessandmenstrual blood loss，were compared betweenthetwo groups.Radioimmunoassy wasused to measure serum levelsof sex hormones，including follicle-stimulating hormone（FSH），estradiol（ E2 ），and luteinizing hormone（LH）. Results： After treatment，recovery indicators，sex hormonelevels，andPSQIsoresdecreasedinbothgroups，withsignificantlylowervalues inthebservationgroupcompared to the control group.The diferences between the two groups were statistically significant（ P<0.05 ）. Conclusion： The use of thelevonorgestrel-eleasingintrauterinesystem（Mirena）inpatients withadenomyosiscansignificantlyimproverecoveryindicators，relieve dysmenorrhea，reduce menstrual blood loss ，and enhance sleep quality.
