Effect of Continuous Positive Airway Pressre on Patients with Heart Failure and Type I Respiratory Failure

AbstractObjective:Toexplore the efect ofcontinuous positiveairway pressure(CPAP)onpatients with heartfailure complicated with type I respiratory failure. Methods:A total of 1OO patients with heart failure complicated with type I respiratory failureadmittedtoTaizouPeople'sHospitalafiliatedtoNanjingMedicalUniversityfromJanuary2O22toJanuary2O25wereselected.According todiferenttreatmentmethods,theyweredividedintoanobservationgroup(CPAPtreatment,53cases)andacontrol group(invasivemechanicalventilationtreatment,47cases)Results:Aftertreatment,teapnea-hypopneaindex(AH)left ventricular end-diastolicdiameter(LVED),C-reactive protein(CRP)and interleukin-6(IL-6)levelsintheobservationgroup were lower than those in the control group,while the lowest nocturnal oxygen saturation( LSaO2 )and left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)were higher than those in the control group( P<0.05 ).AHI showed positive correlation with LVED,CRP and IL-6 levels( P<0.05 ),and negative correlation with LVEF( P<0.05 ). Conversely, LSaO2 showed negative correlation with LVED, CRP and IL-6( P<0.05) ,and positive correlation with LVEF( P<0.05 ). Conclusion: CPAP therapy can improve sleep apnea, improve cardiac function and reduce inflammatory factors in patients with heart failure complicated with type I respiratory failure,andsleeprespirationiscloselyrelatedtocardiacfunctionandinflammatorystate,soitisanefectivenon-invasiveherapy.
