Effect of Solution-focused Brief Therapy on Sleep and Pain in Patients After Nasal Endoscopic Septoplasty

AbstractObjective：Tostudytheefectofsolution-focusednursing（SFN）modelonsleepqualityandpain intensityin patints undergoig nasal endoscopicseptopasty.Methods：FromApril2O23toApril2025，atotalof100patientswithnasalseptudeviationcorrectionwhoreceivedtreatmentinQilu HospitalofShandong Universitywereretrospectivelyanalyzed.TakingApril2024 astheboundary，patientsfromApril2O23toApril2O24were treated withconventional perioperativenursingascontrolgroup（ n= 50），and patientsfrom May2O24 toApril2O25were treated with SFNonthebasisofconventional nursing asobservation group （ n=50 ）. Sleep qualityPittsburgh SleepQuality Index（PSQI），Insomnia Severity Index（ISI），sleep latency，sleep efficiency，arousal idex（AI）]，painintensity[Visual Analogue Scale（VAS）]，nasalpatency[Nasal Obstruction Symptom Evaluation （NOSE）]，olfactoryfunction（“Snifin'Sticks”test）andoccurrenceof postoperativecomplications werecompared betweenthe two groups at24 hand5daftersurgery.Results：Thescoresof PSQI，ISI，VASand NOSEandsleplatencyinthetwogroupsat 5daftersurgerysignificantlyimprovedcompared withthoseat24haftersurgery，andtheabovetheobservationgroupdemonstrated greater improvements in these parameters than the control group（ P<0.05 ）. Sleep efficiency and olfactory function were significantlyenhancedcomparedwiththoseat24haftersurgery，andtheabove indexes weresignificantly higherinobservationgroup than those in control group（ P<0.05） .There were no statistical diferences in the complications between the two groups（ P> 0.05）.Conclusion：SFNcan significantly improve theslepqualityinpatientsundergoing nasal endoscopic septoplasty.Its mechanismmayberelatedtorelieving thepainintensityandacelerating therecoveryofnasalfunctionTheregimenissafeandfeasible，and has high clinical promotion value.
