Correlation between Postoperative Pain Intensityand Sleep Quality after Procedurefor Prolapseand Hemorrhoids

AbstractObjective：To investigate the correlation betwee pain intensityand sleepqualityafter procedure for prolapseand hemorhoids（PPH）.Methods：Atotalof30Opatients treated with PPHinthehospital from January2019 toDecember2023 were included forretrosective analysis.Thepainseverityandsleepqualitywereanalyzedat24h，48hand72haftersurgery，and the correlation betweenPPHpostoperativepainandsleepqualitywasanalyzedbyPearsoncorrelationanalysis.Results：Thepatient's VASscoregradualldecreasedatdiferenttimepointsincluding24ours，48ours，ad72housafterthesurgeryndtcore sponding PSQI scores also significantly decreased（ P<0.05 ）.Pearson correlation analysis showed that there was a positive correlation between VASscores and PSQI scoresat24 h，48 h，and 72 h after surgery（r =0.682，0.615，0.538，all P<0.05 ） . Conclusion：ThepostoperativepainseverityafterPPHmaybecloselyrelatedtosleepqualityTargetedmanagementshouldbeimplemented according tothepatient'spainintensitytoalleviatepain，improvesleepquality，andpromotepostoperativerecoveryin clinical practice.
