Effect of Nitrogen Blow-Down Endpoint on the Recovery Rates of Three Pesticides with Different Volatilities in Cucumber

Abstract:This study aims to investigate the differential effcts of purging time and heating conditions on the recovery rates ofdiferent volatilepesticides during nitrogen blow-down concentration,providinga basis foraccurate quantification. Using cucumber as the matrix and using GC-MS/MS method,three representative pesticides—dichlorvos, chlorpyrifos,andprocymidonewereselected.Sevendryingonditions weredesigned,includingfivegradientnitrogenblowdown endpoints andtwo natural evaporationconditions.Fortified recovery experiments were conducted attwo concentration levels.Dichlorvos is extremelysensitive to nitrogen blow-down time.After complete drying, purging iscontinued for5,10, and 20 minutes, leading to a dramatic decrease in its recovery rates to 31.67% , 10.33% ,and 7.00% (at the 0.05 μg/mL level),respectively.
