Functional Role of Dreams in Consolidating and Optimizing the Psychological Paterns of Daily Memorie

AbstractObjective：Thisarticleaims toclarifytheasociationbetween dreamsanddailymemories interms of psychological paterns，ntutiecontentndemotioalharacteristicseriftefunctioalhpothsistat“dreamsoepyologicalpatterns throughobjectrepresentationtoadapttothefutureenvironment”，andexplore itsapplicationvalueinpsychologicalcounseling.Methods：Anaturalisticresearch designwasadoptedwith240non-specialpopulationselectedasresearch objects（20Opsychologicalcounseling clientsand40 healthyvolunteers）.Dreamcontentreportsandcorrespondingdailymemory informatinfrom May2005toFebruary2O24 werecolectedusingtheDailyMemoryRecordFormandNightlyDreamRecordForm.Theassociation betweenthetwoinintuitieontent，motionalcharacteristics（type/intensity），syhologicalpates，ndprsonalrspectie werequantitativelyaalyzedbycomprehensivelyaplyingtheservationmethod，caseanalysismethod，interviewethod，nd “representation extractionmethod”.Results：Atotalof403validdreamcontentreportswereincluded from240researchbjects （200 fromtheclientgroupand 2O3fromthevolunteer group）.Thecoincidencerateof psychological patermswas the highest （ 97.5% in the client group and 92.6% in the volunteer group）. The intuitive content correlation rate was 24.2% ，the emotional type consistency rate was 33.7% ，the emotional intensity consistency rate was 14.9% ，and the personal perspective matching rate was 92.5% for first-person dreams and 81.3% for third-person dreams. Conclusion：The core of the association between dreams anddailymemoriesliesinpsychological paters.Dreamsoptimizepsychologicalpaterns bysimplifying theencodingofrecent memoriesandcombining historical experiences.The“representation extraction method”canbeused to identifyadverse psychologicalpaters，providinganewpathfortheinterventionofpsyhologicalproblemssuchassleep-relatedemotinaldisordersand post-traumatic stress disorder（PTSD） .
