f Multidisciplinary Pulmonary and Cardiac Rehabilitation Guidance under Solution-focused Approach on Sleep Quality in Elderly COPD Patients with Insomnia

AbstractObjective：Toobservetheefectsofmultidisciplinary pulmonaryandcardiac rehabilitation guidancebasedonasolution-focusedapproachonelderlypatients withchronicobstructivepulmonarydisease（COPD）complicatedbyinsomnia.Methods： Atotalof78 elderly COPDpatients with insomniaadmited to Xiamen Xinglin HospitalfromOctober2022 toOctober2024 were enroled.Patients wererandomlyasigned tothecontrol groupandobservationgroupusingarandomnumber table，with39cases ineach group.Thecontrolgoupreceivedroutinenursingcare，whiletheobservationgroupreceivedadditional multidisciplinary pulmonaryandcardiacrehabilitation guidanceunderasolution-focusedapproach.Sleepquality，pulmonaryfunction，andqualityof life werecompared betweenthetwogroups.Results：Afterintervention，theobservation grouphadlower Pitsburgh SleepQuality Index（PSQI） and Sleep Scale for Insomnia（ SSI） scores than the control group（ P<0.05 ）. No significant difference was observed in forced vital capacity（FVC） between groups（ P>0.05 ），whereas the observation group showed higher forced expiratory volume in1 second（FEV1）and higher World HealthOrganization Qualityof LifeBrief Version（WHOQOL-BREF）scores than thecontrol group（ P<0.05 ）. Conclusion：Multidisciplinary pulmonary and cardiac rehabilitation guidance under a solution-focused approach significantlyimprovessleepqualitypulmonaryfunction，ndoverallqualityoflifeinelderlyCOPDpatients withinsomna compared with routine nursing care.
