AbstractObjective:Toexplore theapplicationvalueof paincase managementcombined with behavior-orientedhealth education inpatientsundergoingradicalresection foresophagealcancer(EC).Methods:Atotalof1OOpatientswithECadmitedto No.909 Hospitalof the ChinesePeople'sLiberationArmyJointLogistics SupportForcefrom March2022 toApril2O25were selectedas thestudysubjects. They wererandomlydividedintoacontrolgroupandanobservation groupusing arandom number table method,with5Ocasesineach group.Thecontrol groupreceivedbehavior-oriented healtheducation, whiletheobservation groupreceived aditional paincase management on this basis. The Pitsburgh Slee Quality Index(PSQI)wasused to compare changes in sleepqualitybefore andafter intervention. The Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)was used to assesspain improvement.A healthknowledgeassessmentquestionnairewasappiedtoevaluatepatients’masteryof health knowledge, andtheincidenceof complicationswascomparedbetweenthetwogroups. Results:Beforeintervention, therewerenostatisticallysignificantdiferences between the two groups in health knowledge mastery scores ,VAS scores,or PSQI scores( P>0.05 ).After intervention, the observationgroup hadsignificantlyhigher health knowledge masterysores thanthecontrolgroup, whileVASscoresandPSQIscores weresignificantlylowerthanthoseofthecontrol group.Theincidenceofcomplicationsintheobservationgroupwassignificantly lower than that in the control group, and the diferences between the two groups were statistically significant( P<0.05 ) . Conclusion:Paincasemanagementcombinedwithbehavior-orientedhealtheducationappliedtoradicalresectionforECcanffectively relieve postoperative pain, improvesleepqualityand health knowledge mastery, andreduce the incidence ofcomplications.
