Postoperative Sleep Disturbancesand Influencing Factors in Elderly Patients withOsteoporoticVertebralCompressionFractures

AbstractObjective：To investigatetheincidenceand influencing factorsof postoperative sleepdisturbances in elderlypatients withosteoporoticvertebalcompressonfractures（OVCF）.Methods：Atotalof150elderlyOVCFpatientsadmitedtoteDepart mentofOrthopedicsofChangleistrictPeople'sHospital，Fuzhou，fromJanuary2O23toMarch2025wereenroled.ledisturbances were asessed usingthe Pitsburgh Sleep Quality Index（PSQI），and influencing factors wereanalyzed.Results：Postoperative PSQI scores of the 150 patients ranged from 1 to 18，with a median score of 8.A total of 68 patients（ 45.33% ）were classified into the sleep disturbance group，and 82 patients （ 54.67% ）were in the non-sleep disturbance group. Compared with the nonsleep disturbance group，patients intheslepdisturbancegroup had higher postoperativepainscores，and higher proportions of nutritional risk，postoperative anxiety ，postoperative depression，and low-level social support（ P<0.05 ）. Multivariate analysis indicated that postoperative pain（ OR = 2. 250， 95% CI 1.142 to 4. 433），presence of nutritional risk（ OR=2 .465， 95% CI 1. 309 to 4. 642），postoperative anxiety（ OR=2.298，95% CI 1.218 to 4.336），postoperative depression（OR = 2.633， 95% CI 1. 272 to 5. 448），and low-level social support（OR = 2.570， 95% CI 1. 436 to 4. 6O0）were independent risk factors for postoperative sleep disturbances in elderly OVCF patients（ P<0.05 ）. Conclusion：Postoperative sleep disturbances are common in elderly OVCF patients.Postoperativepain，nutritionalrisk，anxiety，depression，andlow-levelsocial supportaremajorinfluencingfactors. Personalized nursing management should be provided to improve sleep quality.
