Effects of Auricular Acupoint Seed Embedding Combined with Physical Therapy onPainandSleepQualityinPatientswithBoneMetastases

AbstractObjective：To investigate theefectsofauricularacupointseedembeddingcombined with physical therapyonpainand sleepqualityinpatients withmalignanttumor-relatedbone metastases.Methods：Atotalof40patientswithmalignantbonemetastases whoreceivedroutinetreatmentatFujian CancerHospitalfromJanuary2O21to December2O24 wereenrolledas thecontrol group，whileanother 4O patients treatedduring thesame period with physical therapycombined withauricularacupointseed embeding were included in theobservationgroup.TheNumeric Rating Scale（NRS）was used tocompare pain improvementbefore andafter interventioninthetwogroups.Theutilizationrateofstrongopioidsandthemeanmorphineequivalentdailydose （MEDD）during treatment were compared.In addition，the incidence of slep disturbances and theuseof hypnoticdrugs were comparedbetween thetwo groups.Results：After treatment，NRS scoresintheobservation groupwerelower than those inthecontrolgroup.Theutilizationrateanddosageof strongopioidsintheobservation groupweresignificantlylowerthanthoseinthecontrolgroup.After12 weksof treatment，the incidenceof sleepdisturbances intheobservation groupwassignificantlylowerhan thatinthecontrolgroup.At4，8，nd12 weeksoftreatment，theuseof hpnoticdrugsintheobservationgroupwassignificantly lower than that in the control group. All differences between the two groups were statistically significant（ P<0.05 ）. Conclusion： Auricularacupoint seed embeddng combined with physical therapycan efectivelyrelievepainandreduce the incidenceofsleep disturbances in patients with malignant tumor-related bone metastases.
