Efficacy Study of Low-dose Olanzapine Combined with Escitalopram Oxalate in Treating Depressionwith Sleep Disorders

AbstractObjective：Thisarticleaims toinvestigate theclinical eficacyoflow-doseolanzapineandescitalopramoxalate nthe treatmentofpatients withdepresion withsleepdisorders.Methods：From May2023toJune2O25，0O patientswithdepression and sleepdisorders who wereadmitedtoCikang Hospital werechosenforthisstudy.Theywererandomlydividedinto two groups usingarandom number table method.Thecontrol groupwas treated with escitalopramoxalate，whiletheobservationgroup was treated withacombinationoflow-doseolanzapineand escitalopram oxalate.Comparetheemotional statesHamiltonAnxiety Scale （HAMA），Hamilton Depresion Scale（HAMD）]，sleepquality，andlifequalityShort Form of Health Survey（SF-36）]before andaftertreatmentbetweentwogroups，andcomparetheincidenceofcomplicationsbetweenthetwo groups.ResultsAftertreatment，the observation group exhibited lower HAMA and HAMD scores compared to the control group（ P<0.05 ）. The numbers of awakenings in the observation group after treatment were less than those in the control group（ P<0.05 ），the sleep latency and awakening time were shorter than those in the control group（ P<0.05 ），and the total sleep time was longer than that in the control group（ P<0.05）. The observation group demonstrated higher scores acrossall dimensions of the SF-36 scale than the control group（ P<0.05， ）.The incidence of complications in the observation groupwas not significantly diferent from thatinthe control group（ P>0.05 ）.Conclusion：Thecombination of low-dose olanzapine and escitalopram oxalatein the treatment of patients with depressionandsleepdisorderscanpromotetheimprovementof patients'emotionalstate，enhance theirsleepquaityandlifequality，and do notincrease the incidence of complications.
