Abstract： Time-Temperature Indicators （TTIs）are essential tools for monitoring and dynamically indicating the remaining shelf lifeof products throughout the supply chain，especiallthosethatare highlysensitive to temperature variations and dependoncold-chain transportation.This paper first systematicallyoutlines the fundamental principles and modeling approaches of TTIs.Itthen provides adetailedanalysis offour major typesof commerciallavailable TTIs： diffusion-based，polymer-based，enzymatic，and microbial indicators.The current applicationsand potential future developments of TTIs are also discussed.
