Clinical Study on Dietary Therapy Intervention for Senile Spleen Qi Deficiency Based on Traditional Chinese Medicine Theory

Abstract: With the accelerating aging process of the current society,chronic metabolic disorders and functional impairments intheelderly,primarilycharacterizedbyspleenqideficiency,are becoming increasinglyprevalent.The decline n spleen and stomach transportation and transformation functions of the elderly people leads to insuficient qi andblood,internaldampnessaccumulationandother problems.Prolongedtreatment withconventional medicationsoften results in burdens on the liver and kidneys and adherence challenges.Based on traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) theory,this study explorestheclinical improvementsachieved through dietary therapyinterventions for elderly splenqi deficiency syndrome.Byreviewing the clinical evidence of spleen-strengthening and dampnesseliminating,as wellas qi-nourishing and yin-nourishing methods in regulating glucose and lipid metabolism,gastrointestinal hormones,and sleep quality,thescientific validityof applying food-drug homology tochronic disease managementfor the elderlyis verified,providinga theoretical foundation for developing safeand long-termTCM intervention strategies.
