Analysis of Heavy Metal Content and Pesticide Residues in Xinjiang's Characteristic Dried Fruit Products

Abstract: Xinjiang's distinctivedried fruit products hold significantmarketpositions domesticalland internationally. However,potential issues of heavy metal accumulation and pesticide residues have become major constraints to theindustry's high-qualitydevelopment.This study investigates the endogenousand exogenous contaminants in Xinjiang's distinctivedriedfruitproductsandanalyzesthe applicabilityofdetection technologies.Basedonregional environmental geochemical characteristicsand currentagricultural input practices,this study investigates themigration and transformationpatternsofheavy metalsand pesticideresidues throughouttheentire growth,procesing,storage,and transportation cycles of typical dried fruits like jujubes and raisins.Itreveals the risk of multiplied contaminantcontent levels indried productsduetodehydrationand concentration,while identifying botlenecks inpretreatmenttechniques and high-throughput detection methods regarding sensitivity and interference resistance in complex matrices.To address these challenges,this study proposes a three-dimensional risk control strategy encompassing sourcereduction, processcontrol,and end-point detection,providing theoretical foundations and technical support forrefining Xijiang's distinctive dried fruit product quality and safety standards while enhancing detection and regulatory efficiency.
