Study on the Regulatory Effect of Dietary Fiber onHumanGutMicrobiota

Abstract: Intestinal microbiotais the keyto understand human health,while dietary fiber,asthe main carbon source for microbialfermentation,aects theecological successionand functional expressionof microbialcommuniies.At present,the trendofrefined dietarystructurehas ledtoa generallack offiber intakeinthe human body,which has becomeahiddendriving force behind intestinal microbiotadisordersandmetabolicdiseases.Basedonthis,thisarticle analyzes the bidirectional regulatory mechanismbetweendietaryfiberand gut microbiota,as wellasthespecificefects of diffrent fiber characteristics on microbiota colonization and metabolism.Dietary fiber can exert precise prebiotic effects,selectively support major beneficial bacteria,regulate intestinal pH and repair physical barriers,via the production of short-chain faty acids during metabolism effectively curbing the growth of pathogenic bacteria.
