Abstract:The sulfur content in orthodontic brackets and buccal tubes of orthodontic medical devices was determined by high frequency infrared carbon sulfur analyzer.By optimizing sample weight,flux quality,and blank value, standardized test conditions were established, that is, sample weight 0.5g ,tungsten tin flux 1.0g ,and the ceramic cruciblewas roasted at 1000‰ for 2~4h .The linear correlation between 0.0054% and 0.079% was measured, the correlation coefficient was O.9999,and thedetectionlimitwas 0.00007% .Theprecision (RSD, n=6 )ofthemethod was 0.64% ,and the recoverieswere 98.0%~102.5% .TheRSD of the results was 1.32% 1 (n=9 ).Themethod hasgood precisionand fast test speed,and can meet therequirements for the determination of sulfurcontent in orthodontic brackets and buccal tubes.
