Study on the Semantic Field Evolution of Chinese Common Words “Storage”//MENG Huijuan

Abstract: The study of the semantic field of common words is an important part of the history of Chinese vocabulary. Combined with dictionaries such as Chinese Dictionary, it is determined that the monosyllabic words commonly used in the semantic field of Chinese storage are “livestock, storage, storage, storage and preservation”. Through the diachronic description of the five words in ancient times, middle ages and modern times, this paper probes into the evolution process of the members of the semantic field of “storage”, and probes into its evolution characteristics and evolution motivation.
