Research on the Construction and Standardization of Acupuncture Nomenclature//SU Yuru

Abstract: Acupuncture originated in China, constitute a vital component of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). This therapeutic method involves stimulating specific acupoints on the human body using needles or moxa. It is commonly employed to treat conditions such as sequelae of stroke, facial neuritis, and insomnia. Characterized by a wide range of indications, absence of side effects, ease of application and mastery, and cost-effectiveness, acupuncture hold significant value for widespread promotion and use. With the continuous advancement of the healthcare industry, the construction and standardization of commonly used terminology in acupuncture have now become important tasks. By analyzing the current situation, this paper examines existing challenges and explores strategies for advancing terminology construction and standardization in the future. The aim is to contribute to the modern development of the discipline and support the sustainable growth of the healthcare sector.
