Study on the Translation of International Publicity of Jinsha Site from the Perspective of Communicative Translation Theory//LIANG Yu, LOU Shilin

Abstract: Jinsha Site Museum is an important place to show the history, culture and art of a region, a ethnicity or a country, and its exhibition content contains rich cultural connotations. International publicity translation can accurately and vividly convey these messages to international audiences, promote the exchange and understanding between different cultures, and promote the in-depth development of cultural studies. Based on Newmark's communicative translation theory, this paper analyzes the functions and characteristics of the translated texts of tourism publicity in Chengdu Jinsha Museum, and discusses how to use transliteration, omission, addition. The aim is to improve the translation quality of museum publicity texts, attract more foreigners to visit China, enhance the travel experience in China, and let China culture go abroad.
