Progress and Prospect of Executive Function Research: Visual Analysis Based on CiteSpace//LU Meiyi

Abstract: As the core component of individual cognitive function, executive function is of great significance to predict individual development, so it has attracted much attention from researchers. In order to further clarify the research situation in the field of executive function, this paper makes a visual analysis of 262 Chinese documents on executive function research indexed by China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) from 2015 to 2025 by using knowledge maps. The analysis results show that the number of papers published in the executive function is on the rise; and the research topic focuses on the theory, object and development of executive function.
