Optimization of Audio-Visual Symbol Translation Strategies in English Film and Television Translation under the Multimodal Synergy Framework//TAN Rui

Abstract: This paper focuses on the translation issues of audio-visual symbols in English film and television translation under the multimodal synergy framework. Starting from semiotic mechanisms, the author analyzes the modal composition of film and television symbols, translation constraints, and cross-cultural meaning reconstruction mechanisms. Also, the author points out that current translations have problems such as lack of modal synergy, unbalanced adaptation of cultural memes, and insufficient regulation of audience cognitive load. Based on this, the author proposes optimization strategies, including constructing a modal adaptability evaluation system, implementing multimodal anchoring of cultural memes, and establishing an audience cognition-oriented regulation mechanism. The aim of this research is to improve the accuracy of English film and television translation and cross-cultural communication effects through multimodal synergy.
