Motivation Analysis of Legal Terms and Common Problems in Translation//ZHENG Anwen

Abstract: In the translation of legal terms, the construction of the motivations in the target language is very important for the accurate understanding and application of terms. This paper presents three kinds of motivation problems in the translation of terms with specific examples: the identification and sorting of the motivation of synonymous legal terms, the analysis of the motivation of low-frequency meanings, and the analysis of the motivation in the metaphor of legal terms. To solve these problems, the author tries to put forward some corresponding translation strategies.
