Explanation and Application Research of Terminology in High School Biology Textbooks//ZHANG Yuting

Abstract: High school biology terminology is the foundation for building a biological knowledge system. Interpreting and applying terminology in high school biology can help enhance students' subject literacy and form scientific cognitive methods. This paper takes high school biology textbooks as the research object, integrating teaching practice to explore the strategies for interpreting and applying noun terms in high school biology textbooks from the core elements and easily confused terms of noun term interpretation, the explanation of life phenomena in the application of noun terms, and the integration of cross unit knowledge. Research indicates that in-depth analysis of terminology's connotations, adherence to standard terminology usage, and strategies for summarization and phrase differentiation can enhance the quality of high school biology instruction.
