AbstractThebackgroundofcultivating outstanding enginers hasput forwardnewrequirementsfortheabilityofengineering students tosolvecomplexengineering problems.Thisrequirementisnotonlythecoreguidancefortehigh-qualitydevelopment ofengineeringeducation,butalsothekeytocultivatingtop-notchengineering talents thatmet theneedsof theindusty.Onthe basis ofanalyzingtheconnotationandelementsofengineeringstudents'abilitytosolvecomplexengineering problems under thebackgroundofcultivatingoutstanding engineers,tisarticleconstructsanevaluation index systemforengineringstudents' ability tosolvecomplex engineering problems,including threeprimaryindicatorsand twelve secondary indicators,through Delphi method andanalytic hierarchy process.This evaluation index system not only provides ascientific framework for accurately measuringtheabilitylevel of engineeringstudents to solvecomplex enginering problems,but also provides strong theoreticalsupportandpracticalbasisforthecontinuousoptimizationof engineeringeducation,theinnovationof teaching modes,andtheimprovementofte qualityofengineering talentcultivationunderthebackgroundofexcelentengieerraining.
