Research on the Integration of Area Studies and Foreign Literature Teaching

AbstractArea studies have become akey developing humanities discipline in China in recent years,providing a new perspective for the teaching reform of Foreign Literature. Integrating area studies into Foreign Literature teaching can effectively promote the transformation of the teaching paradigm from the traditional "close reading of texts" to "reproducingstoicalontexts",interpretigliteatureintecontextofspecificgeogapcal,stoicalandciiltioal interactions.To integrate area studies into Foreign Literature teaching,itis necessary toconstruct atrinity integration framework of"theory-content-model":theoretically,introducing historicalcontext restorationandculturalcomparative analysis;content-wise,reorganizing teaching content with cultural regions as units;and model-wise,establishing modularcourses and blended teaching methods.This teaching innovation aims to cultivate compound talents with regional expertise and cross-cultural communication capabilities,serving the national foreign strategy and the construction of an independent knowledge system.
