Abstract: In order to support the four in one innovative talent cultivation goals of "character development, knowledge imparting, ability cultivation, and thinking innovation" in Xi'an Jiaotong University, the teaching and research staff offered a general course "Structural Design Thinking and Practice" for undergraduate students, combined it with the National College Student Structural Design Competition and integrated the ideological and political education. During the teaching and competition process, curriculum theory was used to guide the practice, theoretical theory was well understood, and the ideological and political education was well integrated into the entire teaching and competition process. The goal of "Four in One" Education was well achieved, and the academic competition also reached a historic new level. The results of teaching practice show that the organic integration of theoretical courses, ideological and political courses, and academic competitions can attain multidimensional education, promote the cultivation of innovative talents in the "Four in One", and have important popularization value.
