Abstract: Accelerating the construction of a strong technological nation and achieving high-level technological self-reliance have become major strategic demands for China's future development. As a cradle for cultivating high-level talent and an important component of innovation ecosystems, universities must take on the responsibility of promoting technological self-innovation and implementing the domestic substitution of software and hardware. Meanwhile, facing increasingly complex and severe global environmental issues, the development of environmental disciplines has entered the era of data-driven transformation. Environmental programs in universities should align with the demands of the times by cultivating interdisciplinary talents with both big data analysis capabilities and professional environmental knowledge. By offering interdisciplinary courses such as "Big Data Analysis and Environmental Applications," integrating the use of domestic software and hardware in environmental fields into classroom teaching, universities can not only enhance students' abilities in environmental data analysis but also promote the application and development of self-innovative technologies, providing talent support and technical assurance for China's environmental governance.
