Analysis of Seismic ReinforcementMethods for Ancient Brick and Stone Pagodas

School of Engineeringand Architectural,Wuhan CityPolytechnic,Wuhan,Hubei Province,43oo64 China Abstract:Thebrick andstone ancient pagodahas valuableculturaland scientific research value,butitsseismic resistance is relatively poor.To advance the seismic reinforcement and protection of ancient brick and stone pagodas and asist in the protectionof this important cultural heritage,thisarticle comprehensivelyanalyzes the seismic damage situation and main seismic reinforcement methods ofancient brick and stone pagodas.By analyzing the seismic damage situation and seismic resistance mechanisms,several modern reinforcement techniques are proposed,including crack treatmentofthebrickandstoneancienttowerbodytheinternaladitionofringbeamsandstructuralcolumns,steel strip hoops,vertical steel bar connections,carbon fiber fabricreinforcement,andcarbon fiber board hoop reinforcement.These measures combine traditional craftsmanship with modern technology,providing diverse solutions for the protection of ancient pagodas.
