Abstract: The continuous expansion of the power grid scale and the rapid growth of power load have put forward higher requirements for substation operation and maintenance work.The traditional operation and maintenance mode usuallyadopts manual inspection methods,which have shortcomings such as insufficient detection efficiency and limited diagnostic accuracy.Infrared temperature measurement technologyachieves real-time monitoring of equipment temperature field through non-contact and live detection methods,providing an innovative technological path for operation and maintenance management.Based on this,this article analyzes the content ofsubstation operationand fault diagnosisbasedoninfrared temperaturemeasurement technology,and elaboratesthespecificaplication methods ofinfrared temperature measurement technology,aiming to improve the eficiency of substation operation and maintenance and ensure the safe and stable operation of the power system.
