Abstract: Addressing the issues of poor alignment between the high-level knowledge system and ideological and political education goals of engineering specialized courses in the exploration paths, manifestation form, and integration form, the exploration and practices from solid waste treatment and resource utilization courses in environmental engineering major were explored as case studies. With a focus on cultivating advanced abilities and shaping values, the manifestation and seamless integration of the high-level knowledge system of the course with the primary ideological and political education objectives were delved deeply. A reconstruction of course content and a method for bridging "online low-level knowledge" with "offline high-level knowledge" in blended teachingwere proposed. Furthermore, a seamless integration relationship between the high-level advanced knowledge system of the curriculum and ideological and political education goals was established. Additionally, we have devised diversified assessment methods for ideological and political education within courses and implemented a continuous improvement mechanism encompassing "dynamic feedback, mutual learning in teaching and education, mutual enhancement in science and education, and mutual growth through competition and teaching". This approach serves as a valuable reference for exploring ideological and political education in similar specialized courses.
