Abstract: New engineering advocates cultivating innovative and versatile talents who can adapt to China's emerging industries and new economic models in the future. In the context of changing requirements for talent cultivation, civil engineering majors need to deepen teaching reform based on talent needs. This study is based on the background of new engineering disciplines, comprehensively studying the four elements of ideological and political education content, teaching objectives, teaching process strategies and methods, and teaching evaluation in civil engineering courses, and constructing an ideological and political education system for civil engineering courses.
