Abstract: Pollution Ecology is an important foundational course for environmental ecology majors, characterized by a wide range of basic knowledge and strong theoretical basis. This article delves into the ideological and political elements contained in the course, innovating teaching methods such as problem introduction, finishing touch, role model guidance, scenario simulation, comparative analysis, and experiential reflection to stimulate learning interest; Centered around the biological processes experienced by pollutants in living organisms, exploring the basic laws of the interaction between organisms and the environment is the key content, focusing on the development mechanism of biological resistance and its application in biological pollution control strategies. Knowledge points are decomposed, and the corresponding correlation between ideological and political elements and knowledge points is established. A case library of ideological and political elements in the curriculum is constructed, and practical education is strengthened to enrich teaching forms. Explicit education and implicit education are combined to form an integrated path of "value shaping, knowledge imparting, and ability cultivation" for the integration of ideological and political education in the Pollution Ecology course. The value oriented elements should achieve subtle educational effects in the process of curriculum planning and teaching implementation.
