Abstract: The senior stage is a critical period for the development of civil engineering students' innovative practical abilities. In response to issues in current practical teaching—such as the disconnect among research, teaching, and industry, insufficient innovation training, and misalignment between skill development and industry needs—this paper proposes an innovation—practice cultivation model based on a "Research-Learning-Industry"(RLI) closed loop. The model establishes a closed-loop logic of "research project-driven guidance, course-based learning empowerment, and industry-oriented practice transformation," and designs a targeted practice content system, collaborative mentoring mechanism, and diversified evaluation framework. It achieves deep integration and positive feedback among research, teaching, and industry resources. Practice demonstrates that this model significantly enhances students' innovative thinking, research capabilities, and engineering practice conversion skills, while improving the alignment between talent cultivation and industry development, providing a feasible pathway for cultivating innovation—practice talents in senior civil engineering students.
