Abstract: The teaching practice of the general course of Deep Space Exploration offered to undergraduate students of various majors at Zhejiang University is introduced in this article. The teaching objective of this course is to popularize basic knowledge of astronomy and aerospace among college students, enhance their scientific and engineering literacy, promote China's lunar and planetary exploration projects, promote the spirit of lunar exploration, and inspire students to integrate their own growth and development into the great cause of national and ethnic revitalization. The teaching experience of the faculty team in the design and implementation of the course of Deep Space Exploration is reported in this article. The contemporary and cutting-edge teaching content of the course, student-centered teaching methods, and the characteristics of using scientific research to support teaching are introduced. This course has achieved excellent teaching results in both knowledge transmission and ideological and political education, and has been well received by students. It has won the first prize for excellent teaching cases of ideological and political education in Zhejiang Province's universities and the special prize for excellent teaching cases of ideological and political education in national universities' optoelectronic information majors.
