Abstract: As a foundational graduate course widely applied in the field of petroleum engineering at oil universities, Advanced Fluid Mechanics requires in-depth exploration in terms of content system and case development to continuously build a high-level core curriculum. The paper emphasizes the "oil and gas" characteristics of the course and its engineering application positioning in the new era, optimizing the content succinctly and introducing modern computational simulation tools to enhance the knowledge system of Advanced Fluid Mechanics in petroleum universities. By integrating the discipline of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering, the paper explores engineering application cases of Advanced Fluid Mechanics in the oil and gas field, as well as case development in computational simulation and intelligent applications, to adapt to the reform and development of graduate education in the new era. And the need to cultivate high-level applied professionals in the oil and gas field.
