Abstract: With the development of China's infrastructure construction and urbanization process, especially the rise of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, the new era of civil engineering field puts forward a brand new demand for civil engineering talents, and the teaching reform for urban roads and bridges is imperative. This paper proposes a teaching reform for urban roads and bridges based on OBE (Outcome-Based Education). This paper proposes a reform idea based on the OBE (Outcome-Based Education) teaching method, adhering to the concept of "outcome-driven, practice-oriented", by clarifying the objectives and expected learning outcomes of the course, reconfiguring the curriculum system, and closely combining theory and practice to comprehensively improve the comprehensive quality and engineering practice ability of students. Specifically, project-oriented learning, case study and other diversified teaching methods are adopted, integrated into the content of course ideology and politics, encouraging students to actively participate in actual engineering projects, promoting the development of their innovative thinking and engineering practice ability, and guiding students to abide by engineering ethics and be brave enough to assume social responsibility. At the same time, a dynamic assessment and evaluation mechanism is introduced to objectively evaluate the learning effect of students and ensure that the learning outcomes are compatible with the needs of the industry.
