Abstract: The flipped classroom, as an innovative pedagogical approach, is increasingly being adopted in higher education. This paper examines the application and implementation of the flipped classroom model in the teaching of engineering fluid mechanics, integrating the discipline's specific requirements, the characteristics of the course, and the advantages of online platforms to create a student-centered instructional framework. This model effectively combines pre-class independent learning, in-class interactive discussions, and post-class feedback practices, maximizing the potential of both online educational resources and classroom teaching. By fostering active student engagement and participation, the model enhances students' learning initiative. Furthermore, through the optimization of learning tasks and evaluation mechanisms, it significantly facilitates students' comprehension and application of core concepts in engineering fluid mechanics, while strengthening their ability to address real engineering challenges. As educational paradigms continue to evolve and teaching technologies advance, the flipped classroom model is expected to further deepen and refine, providing useful reference for the teaching reform of engineering courses.
