Analysis and Optimization of NVH Performance of an Electric Vehicle's Air Conditioning Box

【Abstract】A low-frequency noise problem occurred during operation of an electric vehicle air conditioning box. It was determinedthatthis noise belonged tothe frequencyrangeof 8OHz to16OHz by experiments.Noise sources were investigatedforthis dangerous frequency band.Through local modal tests and simulation analysis,thecompressed air surface of theair conditioning box wasa structurallweak area,and this structure was optimized.Finally,simulation verification and experimental verification were caried outonthe optimized structure.Theresults show that the noise peak inthe dangerous frequency band has disappeared.Optimizing the structural strength of the compressed air surface contribues 3dB tonoisereduction,providing efectiveexperience fortheforwarddevelopmentof NVHperformanceof the air conditioning box.
