【Abstract】 As a key safety component for carying and transmitting torque in the automobile chassis system, the service reliabilityof whelhubbearings is directly relatedto thedriving safetyof the whole vehicleand the whole lifecycle maintenance cost.In engineering practice,the fatigue failureof wheel hub bearings is characterized by strong statistical dispersion due to the multiple coupling efectsof discrete manufacturing process,material micro-defects distribution,andrandomnessofcomplexservice loads,which makes it diffcult tomeet the demand for highconfidence prediction of modern engineering basedon deterministic theory life assessment methods.Therefore,this paperdiscusses the probabilistic statisticalinferenceofwheelhubbearing fatiguelifeundertheconditionofsmallsamples,andexpects to provide new theoretical perspectivesand technical paths forsolving the"information-poor"reliabilityassessmentproblems prevailing in engineering.
