Abstract:Thispaper focusesontheperformanceofsomecollgesanduniversies indisciplineconstruction,andreveals thecurrentsituationoflocaluniversitiesintheprocessofdisciplinedevelopmentthroughtheanalysisofthenationalranking, totalscore,starrankingandschoolruinglevelofaseriesofuniversities.Theresultsshowthattherearesignfcantdiferences intheachievementsofdisciplineconstructionindiferentcollegesanduniversies.Somecollgesanduniversitieshaveshown theiradvantagesinworld-renonedhigh-leveluniversitiesorworld-classuniversitieswithhighoverallscoresandstarrankings, whileothersarestllinthestageofmovingtowardsChina'shigh-leveluniversitiesorChinasfirst-classuniversities.This reflects thatlocaluniverstiesarefacing manyproblemssuchasunevenresourcealocationanddependenceondevelopment pathsindisciplineconstruction.Clarifyingstrategiessuchasfirst-classdisciplineevaluationstandardsandinnovatingdiscipline constructionsystemsisofgreatsignificanceforlocaluniversitiestobreak throughthedilemmaof disciplineconstruction.
