Abstract:To address the high energy consumption and low eficiencyin current coal-to-hydrogen wastewater treatment,an integrated nitrogenremovalreactor wasconstructed,and itsdenitrification performanceand microbial community structure were investigated. The results showed that, under the conditions of gas-to-liquid volume ratio 80:1 , temperature 33-35∘C , and influent ammonia nitrogen volumetric loading rate 0.2kg(N)⋅m-3⋅d-1 ,rapid reactor start-up was achieved. Without external organic carbon sources, the effluent COD was below 60mg⋅L-1 , ammonia nitrogen mass concentration was below 5mg⋅L-1 ,and total nitrogen removal rate was 93.6% . Nitrosomonas and Candidatus Brocadia were the dominant nitrogen-removing functional genera,short-cut denitrification process was helpful to improve the removal rate of total nitrogen.
