Abstract:Biofuels have significant advantages of being low-carbon,environmentally friendlyand renewable in resources. However,during the transition of transportation energy,the development of various sub-categoriesof biofuels isuneven.Bio-aviation kerosene (bio-SAF) has garmered significant atention duetothe urgent need for aviation emissionreduction,yet it faceschallenges inraw material supplyandcost control.In this paper,asystematic review focusing on the development of bio-SAF was presented. The current development status and prospects of global biofuelswere introduced,the mainstream technical routes and industrialization progressof bio-SAF were briefly described,theraw material supply landscape and the suitabilityof various raw materials were analyzed,and solutions to the price disadvantages of bio-SAF were explored,such as raw material diversification and technological upgrades.Additionaly,the construction and operationof typical bio-SAF plants athome and abroad werereviewed It was pointed out that bio-SAF should be a core pillar for achieving carbon neutrality in the aviation industry. In he future,efforts should focus on the development of low-cost raw materialsand processoptimization,with early-stage layout and certification work to promote the large-scale development of the industry.
